  • excessive water spots

Detailed a dark blue 2008 chev ( daily driver) 2 weeks ago, car had some scratches so a compound was used to remove scratches with the g110.
Then the following steps were done,
swirl remover, polished, NXT wax. The vehicle was brought back to me today after going through a brushless car wash with the Blow dryers and there was alot of water spots, did I miss a step?. I told the Lady that I would put another coat of wax on it.

I know this lady well and she does complain alot, I was advised not to do her vehicle, However she tells me that she has had other cars done and has never had this problem. Who Knows?, you never get the whole story.

Did you see any water spots after compounding and/or polishing, and before applying wax? Odds are if they weren't visible then, she picked them up since the detail. The car wash she used may have been the cause (maybe their chemicals were off that day?), or maybe it was something else (sprinklers, hose, light rain, etc).

Try using some Last Touch and wiping the spots away. If they are fresh it should do the trick. If not, waxing likely won't have any effect.

If the car looked good to her when she picked it up, I wouldnt worry to much about it, sounds like another person wanting something for nothing. Why else would you wait untill 2 weeks later.

No spots during the detail. Used Ultimate Quick Detailer and in 5 min the car looked great, I will let her know that the fault is not from my end.

It just upsets me when someone tells you that they had someone else do the same job and they never had a problems with their job.
