  • Megs Ultimate Compound Consistency

Has anyone had any issues with the Megs UC consistency? I have two bottles that I have had laying around for about 4 months. One was kept inside in my basement and one was kept out in my garage (no heat or freezing issues). I recently went to use the product and it is like water. Even after shaking it forever it stays the same.

I checked a bottle of UC at my local Walmart and it is thick.

Anybody else having issues with this product?

I was thinking of calling Megs customer service.

Please do give Customer Care a call at 800-347-5700 and, if possible, have the bottle handy. They'll want the batch code off the bottle, but they'll replace it for you right away.

Michael thanks for the info. I called customer service and they are going to send me 2 new bottles. It must be a known issue with UC. I know of several others that are having the same problems.

I know this is kinda thread jacking but do you think that a poor batch of the UC could be leading to the problems I am having in this thread:

I've bought two bottles of UC from Walmart and both were the same.... like water. If I turn the bottle the UC will just run out of the top like water and if the pad is tilted it will run off the pad. I've read many posts from people and looked at a lot of photos of what UC can do. I'm convinced that what I've been using is not doing as good. I agree that it seems like I have to use 4-5 application were other people use 2-3.

I just have to get off my butt, get the bottles in front of me and call Megs CS. I really just want a good bottle in order to know what UC is capable of.

            Re: Megs Ultimate Compound Consistency

When one of our liquid products, including Ultimate Compound, SwirlX, or any of the liquid waxes and liquid paint cleaners/compounds from the Mirror Glaze, exhibits either a watery or lumpy consistency that is a classic description of a product that either froze or was exposed to very high heat for a prolonged period of time.

That does not necessarily mean that the product was exposed to temperature extremes while in your possession - it can happen anywhere between the manufacturing facility and the retail establishment where you purchased the product. If you ever come across a watery or lumpy product or one turns to this consistency within a couple months of purchase, by all means call our Customer Care Center at 800-347-5700 for a replacement.
