I am wondering about using UQD (or another detailer like NXT or QD) on a wet surface. I am thinking of two possibilities. The first is to routinely use the detailer when drying the car after a wash--to add some lubrication and reduce accumulated scratching. The second is for using a commercial hand car wash (the high pressure hose), which take off the big stuff but leaves a film on the car. The detailer could then be added to the wet surface to do the final cleaning and drying. This last idea would be useful on a trip. I've done this before by doing the power wash, *blotting* the car dry, then doing a detailer on the dry surface. I'd like to be able to wipe and dry the car in a single step if possible. Any thoughts on all this? I know about ONR and use it occassionally, but these ideas would be used differently and would be easier to travel with--just the spray bottle and MF cloths.

Re: UQD on a wet car?
You certainly can dry with a quick detailer.
Not sure if there would be enough lubrication as far as cleaning after the hand car wash, but maybe.
If you were to be using a lot, you might like to get into the Professional or Detailer line.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: UQD on a wet car?
I've been using Last Touch while my car is wet for the past 6 months or so. Spraying the instant detailer on the wet car makes drying much easier. I still don't understand how applying more liquid to the surface makes drying easier, but it does. The car looks great with no water marks.

Re: UQD on a wet car?
Well I tried the UQD on the wet car today and it was great. It not only made the drying *much* easier and faster, it leeft a really nice surface.
A question: what is the difference between the UQD and the NXT detailer? Both are "polymer" products. This is an example of how confusing I can find Meguiar's products.

and I must agree it becomes much easier and faster to dry, and leaves a smooth finish...
but I just think it is a waste, using a UQD for that because of the price tag it has here in my country... so im thinking of trying Last Touch, because it is cheaper as you can dilute it as well.. :]Ganesa,
