  • Ready to order cleaning devices! Need advice!

Ok guys.....Im new to the detailing game...but its fun, and I enjoy it. I'v gone out and bought some wax, wash, polish etc., but now I need some good quality towels/sponges etc. to get her looking good. What products do you all recommend for differnet things? Currently Im using a chennile sponge to wash the car and chamois to dry it off (they dont really work that well). I'v been to autopia and seen their list of products. What towel, MF towel, sponge, chamios works the best for waxing, polishing, washing and drying?

This is what I have... I have 10 Microfiber 16 x 16 Microfiber towels for removing cleaner/polish/wax I also have a 16 x 24 Ultra fine Microfiber for a final wipe down or to use with a quick detailer. These are all from www.pakshak.com within the last two months I have been changing to all Microfibers so my collection is small right now. I also keep some %100 cotton towels on hand from Walmart, I use these on wheels/windows interior but NEVER on the paint, I only use the highest quality towels on the paint. Also I have heard nothing but good things about Waffle Weave Microfibers so I ordered a 25 X 36 for drying and its on the way, can’t wait to get it! I also have an Absorber for drying as well.

I use a PC for applying wax so I have a collection of Meguiars 6.5" pads but if you are doing it by hand always have a supply of Meguiars foam applicators around even if you have a PC you never know when you will need them.

I use a Meguiars chenille sponge for washing just as you do and I am very happy with it.

This is just what I use I am sure others will have other good suggestions. Hope this helps!

Not yet other than a detail... only had it a couple months now and the bug is getting to me. The warranty issue worries me when you start adding power. I have heard some nightmares.
