Re: My experience with clear bra

Because I compute often between Toronto and Montreal, I installed 3M Clear Bra to my car when it was new more than 5 years old. I liked it so much that I wrapped the whole front end of my car with the same plastic. I also included the side mirrors and the front end of the roof.

Then after 3 years, I replaced all the 3M plastic because of the rock chips.

I was told that the 3M plastic lets the proper UV rays go through. When they removed the plastic, I did not see any fade in colour.

As reasoned mentioned, I think it's the other way around. Paint fades on the car _except_ under the bra.

        +1

The installers in my area stopped using the 3M film a few years ago since it has a reputation of yellowing over time. The car in my avatar has
InvisiGARD installed on the nose and rear fender.

I hate threads like this, every product will have some kind of a fail point. Just because you reach it that doesn't mean it's a **** product.

My first installation of 3M plastic did yellow over the years. I talked to the installer and he said that the latest 3M plastic improved a lot.

This has been almost 3 years since the 2nd installation and I don"t see any yellow so far.
