What is an average pad life for one of the pads used on the orbital polisher? I guess what I'm asking is how many uses should I expect before replacing it with a new one?

It kind of depends on what you use it on and how well you take care of it while buffing and for cleaning and storage.
I think most people can average a high of about 10-12 cars before they think the pad is too taddy to use again. Others may get less, and yet others may get more.

That's resonable and all, but I'm a cheapskate college guy! I'll probably wear 'em out like a toothbrush with no bristles!
