Re: Should i polish using #7 before applying Gold Class Wax
We always consider the application of a pure polish (M07 Show Car Glaze, Deep Crystal Polish, etc) to be an optional step. If you're using a polish wax such as Gold Class or NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 then it becomes even less necessary to use a pure polish.
Of course, the effect of a pure polish is most noticeable on darker colors, so take that into consideration as well - if your car is white or silver you won't notice the effect anywhere near as much as you would on a black or red car. Your expectations and desires also come into play when making this decision. Are you striving the absolute best shine you can possibly achieve? If so, then regardless of color, you may choose to do so.Michael Stoops

It seems many people take too much advantage of silver's concealing properties and leave it at that. And very apropos to this discussion, I passed two identical silver Lexus IS250s on the way into work this morning. Both were clean but one was obviously given the royal treatment and absolutely shimmered while the other was, well, just a silver car.Michael Stoops
