I have wanted to try out one of those waterless car washes. Could someone tell me the best place to purchase one?

I really like dealing with Scott at www.specialtymotoring.com, he has Poorboy's spray and wipe at the lowest price. Adam's detail spray can also be used as a waterless car wash, their web address is www.adamspolishes.com.

Or a product like Protect All Quick & Easy Wash, which is a car wash that requires no rinsing.

I'm assuming you wouldn't use this on a vehicle with a lot of dirt and grime...?

Welcome to Meguiar's' Online!
I think you've pegged it, products like this are not for cars that are 4-wheel drive dirty, as in mud caked onto the finish etc.

The theory behind QEW is that is surfactants lift the dirt off the finish and kinda "hold it in place" until you rinse your mitt.
If I understand correctly, those sorta waterless wash QDs do this but also contain an ingredient like silicone, which is very slippery, which provides the barrier of lubrication between the paint and your mf so it doesn't scratch while surfactants lift away the dirt.
Like Mike says, this process is only safe and efficeint up until a certain point, otherwise you're looking at scratch city if you try it on a very dirty car.

I've been using Quick and Easy Wash (QEW) for about 12 years now and it is true that you can wash a car with about a gallon of water. 2 capfuls of product to one gallon of water. You wash one section at a time, using a wash mitt or chenille covered pad. Then immediately wipe down with a quality terry cloth towel making sure you leave some moisture behind and then make a final drying pass with a microfiber towel.
It usually takes a few tries to really get the hang of it, but once you do, the average size car only takes 15-20 minutes to wash and dry, maybe another 10-20 to wipe down the door jams and clean the wheels and fenderwells.Owner, Scott's Mobile Auto Detailing

Thanks for the help, I think I will give Quick and Easy a try.

I can't wash, do to where I live.
I have excellent results with 2 coats of NXT.
Followed by daily use of a car duster.
Followed by a weekly wipe down with PoorBoys Spray and Wipe.
Then NXT Spray Wax.
The NXT really makes this system work well, due to the slick surface.
