applying 2nd coat of nxt?

jus finished detailing my car with DC#1 and #2 then with nxt wax...i read the curing time is 12 hours...so tommorrow i'll be putting on the second coat of nxt....do i have to wash teh car again? the car is in my driveway right now..so how could i prepare for the second coat of nxt?

If your car is covered and in a low dust environment, you can Quick Detail it, otherwise you´ll have to re-wash.

Hi spunky424,

Technically, you don't have to wait 12 hours before applying the second coat. I apply my second coat all the time within 30 minutes or so of removing the first coat. The 12 hour time span is merely a Window of time" that insures that all of the polymers have fully set-up. There is a very good discussion on this somewhere here on the forum, perhaps someone can do a search and post the link here.

Anyway, like manueljlg suggested, if the car only has light dust before you apply the second coat, the use a quick detailer to remove any light dust and/or airborne contaminants.

I always put two coats of NXT on my car.

It seems to last longer that way.
