Scratch x as a wax removal

I'm planning on using scratch x as a paint cleaner/ wax remover once spring kicks in. Is there a difference on how I should apply it for this purpose? I know its more designed for removing fine scratches. I read the article but wanted to hear everyones opinion.

Also is using the foam applicator too delicate to remove existing wax or should I go use maybe a terry foam app instead?

To remove scracthes, you are abrading away at the point. Since wax sits on/bonds to the paint, if you are removing defects, then you are removing the wax as well. So just use it as you normally would

For removing wax, if you apply one application to the entire car finish and work the product in thoroughly, you should be able to remove all or the majority of the wax in the finish and ready to start with a fresh base.

Removing wax should only take one well-applied application. Removing scratches and other defects usually requires multiple applications.
