I want to know what products i should use for the 5 Step Meguairs Paint Care what products are the best:

Step 1- Washing (what product)
Step 2-cleaning/preparing (product?)
Step 3- Polishing (product?)
Step 4- Protecting (product?)
Step 5 -Maintaing ( product?)

Im working by hand so i wanna know what Meguair's products are the best to use for each step??? Info Por Favor,Gracias Amigos

Step 1- Washing (NXT Generation Car Wash, Deep Crystal Shampoo, Gold Class Shampoo, etc)
Step 2-cleaning/preparing (SwirlX, ScratchX 2.0, Maybe Ultimate Compound)
Step 3- Polishing (SwirlX, Deep Crystal Polish)
Step 4- Protecting (Gold Class Carnauba Wax, NXT 2.0 Tech Wax, Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax)
Step 5 -Maintaing (Ultimate Quik Wax, Quik Detailer, Ultimate Quik Detailer )

Im working by hand so i wanna know what meguairs products are the best to use for each step?????????

See my response above in blue text. The recommendations above are Meguiar's Consumer Line of Products available at your local retail stores.

All the items above are under $10, with the exception of the Gold Class Carnauba Wax and NXT 2.0 Tech Wax.

NXT or Gold Class are good washes, so is Deep Crystal Car Wash.

Smooth Surface Clay Kit

Since your working by hand you would want to start with SwirlX and if necessary move up to Ultimate Compound.

Pure Polishes are an optional step, they do not remove defects but just add more depth and gloss to the paint. Deep Crystal Polish, M07 Show Car Glaze and M81 Hand Polish are all good choices.

NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 is hard to beat, but there are others as well such as M20, M26, Gold Class Liquid Wax etc.

Ultimate Quik Detailer and Ultimate Quik Wax after future washes will help to maintain the paint.

I don't have a favourite. Soft gel,Gold Class,Nxt...I like them all!
Step 2-cleaning/preparing (product?)
Quik Clay kit followed by DC1.
Step 3- Polishing (product?)
DC2 is good for black.
Step 4- Protecting (product?)
NXT Techwax 2.0 is excellent on black!
Step 5 -Maintaing ( product?)
I like UQD....Some prefer to use UQW

Instead of DC1 and DC2,you could use something like SwirlX,ScratchX or Ultimate Compound,if you have swirls/scratches to get rid of.

yea we posted at the same time , so for each step i should just pick any of those products there is not a "best 1" product for each step for example for washing i just choose from all them products

All of the above answers are great, but if you're looking for 1 product for each step, this is what I use on my black car, and I think it offers great results.

Wash- Gold Class

Cleaning and prepping- smooth surface clay bar

Prepping- Asses the paint, the more damaged it is, the stronger the product you should use. Use the search button to find a list of products and how aggressive they are. Consumer wise, it goes SwirlX, ScratchX 2.0, Ultimate Compound (Least to most aggressive)

Protect- I use NXT 2.0 with great results. Lasts a long time while providing a deep, wet black look.

M81 Hand Polish
Deep Crystal Polish
M07 Show Car Glaze
M05 New Car Glaze
M03 Machine Glaze

Is this what you are referring to or are you looking for a cleaner/polish.?

yea silverjag i think skipped step 3 or what?? cause he went from cleaning and preparing directley to wax or you don't need to do step 3 cause that is what has me confused

yeah, i skipped the polish step because it is optional. I've used DC2 with good results. M07 is also good, but some say it's harder to apply (I noticed no difference in regards to ease of use). Sorry for not including it in my previous post, but in my opinion, I find it a little redundant to use every detail. Polishes will help your paint look deeper and give it that wet look, and will definitely compliment any wax (in this case NXT 2.0)

Using products such as SwirlX or Ultimate Compound are in a sense polishes too... the vernacular is somewhat ambiguous as it is in constant flux by various users and forums. So, products like SwirlX clean your paint while at the same time removes defects. Usually, and optionally, people then proceed with a "pure" polish. If you want to just use an "all in one" product, you may go ahead and use ColorX or Cleaner Wax, but they will not be as effective at reducing swirls as UC or SwirlX may be. It's all about assessing your paint and what you want/ have enough time to do. Paint correction, at least in my optinion, does not involve a clear cut, singular method.
