okay jus got my hands on DC #1 paint cleaner, and some nxt....would i also need to buy the DC#2 polish or should i go for something else? this is going to go on my dark pearl blue civic that was painted a month ago...

also what do i use to apply the paint cleaner and polish? and how hard should i be pressing it on? are these two things abbrasives and can they hurt my paint? the nxt came with its own pad so i'll use that....

sorry for alot of questions...just need to get all this stuff straight before i go all out on my car?

i've read numerous posts saying to use DC paint cleaner, then a polish, then a wax...which i plan on doing.. is this correct?

    Hey,
If you are going to spend the time and do it right, I would pick up some of the deep crystal polish. I have always noticed an improvement with it.
Paint cleaners and polishes can be applied either with a microfiber towel or foam applicator. I would recommend going with a meguiars foam applicator. You can usually purchase six of them for around four dollars. Make sure you use different applicator for applying different products.
As for applicator pressure, you want to apply enough that the product does its job, however not to much that you leave scratches or swirls. I would guess around 2 to 3 pounds worth.
Now on to the "abrasives" in the different products. The paint cleaner has a super mild abrasive to it. Let’s put it this way you could probably sit there and polish a panel every day for months and not get close to going through the paint. As for the #2 polish, it is a pure polish and has no abrasives what so ever.
As for your order, it looks perfect, CLEAN + POLISH + WAX = SUCCESS.

thanx for the reply...i was reading the bottle of paint and says to apply in small areas only..this would mean the car would take forever to clean, right? would it be okay to do one panel at a time then wipe and move on? in doing this how much of the cleaner or polish should be placed on the towel/applicator per panel?

      thanks in advance

hey and where can i buy those applicator pads?
