  • Need help with ordering from ADS!

OK, so apparently there aren't any places around me that carry an extensive line of Mirror Glaze products and Detailer line products. O'Reilly has about a dozen products from the Mirror Glaze line, but that's about it. Soooooo, it looks like I'm going to be ordering from ADS. And that's where I need you, in helping me decide what to get. I don't want to spend more than $150 the first time around.

APC or APC+: which one is more versatile, and what can each one be used on? Are both products interchangeable? I don't have an extractor, so foaming is not a concern.

Hyper Wash, Shampoo Plus, or #62: which one is best, at least in your opinion? I want suds, gloss, lubricity, etc. Right now I'm leaning more towards Shampoo Plus or #62, but I'm not sure which one to get. I just want a step up from Gold Class.

Last Touch: What all do you use it for, besides claying and as a quik detailer?

Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner (in the aerosol can): has anybody used it, what do you think?

Is there anything from the Mirror Glaze line you think I absolutely need? From the Mirror Glaze line, I have: M06, M07, M21, M26, M40, and M135. I'm thinking of getting M04 (for cleaning glass), and do I need M39 if I have APC or APC+?

Also, anything from the consumer line I can't do without, or anything I should try? I was thinking of getting NXT glass cleaner and Gold Class Trim Detailer.

So come on guys, give me some input here. I would really rather have personal experiences, rather than what you've heard. Also, please quell my fears. Will Rick take care of me? I've never ordered anything like this before, so it kind of makes me nervous. Does he throw in freebies for first time orderers? How do you order, by phone or online? What is shipping like, and how long does stuff take to get from AZ to where it's going? Thanks a bunch guys!

I like APC Plus and APC for interiors, engines, tires, wheelwells, etc. APC Plus does not foam at all but APC does. I like the smell of APC Plus better. But usually I use APC for tires, engines, and wheelwells, and APC Plus for interiors. I would get both If I were you.

I would go with Shampoo Plus, You will love it. I think it is better than Gold Class.

Get a gallon of Last Touch for claying and daily wipedowns. It has the most lubricity of all the Quik detailers.

Claying can be used at 1:1 and for daily wipedowns use it staright.

I like the Detailer Line Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner, pretty good stuff. I would order a case of 6 since it goes pretty quick. Right now though I use APC Plus for carpet.

I would get M39, it really does tackle some dirty vinyl when used with an interior brush. Works Well IMO.

If I were you I would get a gallon of Glass Cleaner Concentrate, All Season Dressing, and Hyperdressing. All Season dressing is good stuff, better than M40 IMO.

I have enough glass cleaner, and I don't really go through a lot, so I wasn't going to get any glass cleaner. I don't need tire dressing or interior dressing either. For tires and wheel wells I have Endurance, Hot Shine tire gel, Hot Shine tire coating (aerosol), Hot Shine tire foam, NXT Insane Shine coating, and some other tire shine products as well. For interiors, I have Natural Shine, Supreme Shine, QID, and M40. I'm not burning through anything fast, so I'm set there. Otherwise, I would definitely try HD and ASD.

APC is definately good, but APC+ has the degreaser. I might have to switch over to it next time.

        I like #62 a lot.

Either of the glass cleaners will be good. I am out of room for gallon jugs, so I havent tried the Detailer Line one yet.

And yeah, Ricks a good guy. You can order by phone or online. You can ask him your questiosn as well, he knows all the products.

Last Touch is extremely versatile and, in addition to what Tuck listed, can be diluted 1:1 and still remain effective as a QD. At $20 per gallon concentrated (2 gallons diluted), it's far more cost efficient than even the low priced Quik Detailer. Mark Kleis recently posted a video using Last Touch as a rinseless wash solution. And because it's an emulsifier, LT is very effective at removing dried water spots and dissolving bird bombs. I always keep a gallon on hand, and a spray bottle in my trunk.

As for the Mirror Glaze line, what else are you interested in?

Well, I don't have a DA yet, otherwise I'd get M105/M205. I would like to try M34 and M20, but I don't really need them. If I got Last Touch, I would have QD, LT, UQD, and M135. For waxes I have A12 Cleaner Wax, Color X, M06, NXT 2.0, M21, Gold Class, and M26. Alas, I have the same problem as everyone else. I want everything, even though I may not need it.

OK, tell me what you think of this list:

                  1 gallon of APC $13.49
                  1 gallon of APC+ $14.49
1 gallon of Last Touch $17.99
                  Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner $4.49
1 gallon of Shampoo Plus $15.49
                  Gold Class Trim Detailer $3.75
                  NXT glass cleaner $5.99
                  M04 $9.99
                  2 APC bottles/sprayers $3.58
                  2 APC+ bottles/sprayers $3.58
                  2 LT bottles/sprayers $3.58
                  X-Press Wax sampler $6.99

                  Grand total = $103.41 + S&H

Still debating on the M04. Should I get that for cleaning glass or not? I'm debating just skipping the M04 and getting the 32 oz. sampler of HD instead. Quick question: is tax included in the prices or is that separate?

I dont think there should be tax, just shipping.

I wouldnt get both APC's, unless you got samples. Just pick one, you wont really go wrong.

You might like to order a couple of the hand pumps to use with the gallon jugs.

Yeah, you will want some of the gallon pumps, and if you get both APC's like murr said I would get the sample ones. I got both samples with empty bottles for dilution thinking I would use both but I actually use APC+ a little bit more, sometimes I use APC on interiors but thats really the only place I use it.

Get rid of APC Plus and replace it with either Express Liquid Wax or ASD. If you get All Season Dressing you wont need GC Trim Detailer either.

Looks like a good order. I would get a couple more things. Bump it up to $125.00. Get the free duffel bag. Have no fear, Rick is a stand up guy. Great to work with. You will probably get your order 4/5 days after he fills it.

Get a gallon of D12001 Glass Cleaner and the associated spray bottle - good stuff that, and you dilute it 10:1 so you get a lot of product for not much money.

Quik Out - of the 300+ products we make, this is the only one my wife knows by name. We have two small dogs at home and we use quite a bit of this product. It is amazing. Last year my nephew dumped a whole plate of nachos and salsa onto an antique white table cloth and then proceeded to grind it in as he attempted to clean up the mess. The table cloth got tossed into the laundry room and then sort of forgotten about until the next weekend. My wife sprayed some Quik Out on the now week old tomato/salsa stain and threw it in the wash, hoping and praying it would come out at least reasonably well. She was astonished when she pulled it out of the machine and the stain was gone. Totally and completely gone. If you buy just one can you'll be kicking yourself for not getting more.

How are you set with microfiber towels? No such thing as "too many" microfibers.
