Paint Coming Off?

When I wax my car with cleaner wax and use force to really work it in, I get black coming off the car onto my pad.

It's a re-painted hood that hasn't been wet sanded or polished well since I don't have my equipment anymore. It's still has reflections and everything but it's not in great condition yet, but I still get the black onto my pad.

You have Single Stage Paint.

Instead of having a thin coat of clear coat, you have a nice thick coat of paint!

Have fun, Single Stage is fun and great experience detailing wise.

Having paint come onto your pads and applicators is perfectly normal!

Heh, the previous owner probably just painted it with with high gloss rustoleum. It's a really bad job and I might get it re-painted.

It's just the hood, the rest of the body has a clear coat, but it's a different hood than the stock one (still stock hood, but not same VIN)
