I would hazard a guess that the amount of time that the product spends on the paint is rather inconsequential. Silicone is also bad for paint and people seem to like Rain-X a whole lot too.
Everything in moderation, 95% of the time the windows come clean enough with just the regular washing. I use Stoner's on Customer's cars because it makes them feel special
If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to record the event, how can you be certain that there was a tree or even a forest to begin with?

As well as window tint film. Turns it purple.

      I love Stoner's Invisible Glass.
ONR <----one of my favorite detailing products out there. Amazing for door jambs.
Tuff Stuff carpet cleaner smells good.

Most other things I prefer Meguiar's.

Not a problem at all. We understand full well that we aren't the only game in town, that there are plenty of great products out there, and that each of you will have not only your own preferences within the Meguiar's line of products, but other products as well.

            What I use:

-Stoner's invisible glass aerosol can (avoid wipes, they dry up too fast IMO).
-Optimum No Rinse (although still skeptical until I get the method down and confident).
-Optimum Opti-Seal (OK, a bit overrated, but can't get much out of silver paint).
            -Knight's Spray Nine MPC.
            -Carpet Science carpet cleaner.
-Collinite 845 (My absolute favorite wax to date).
-RainX for front windshield (Note to self, must try UQW as Megafast has done).
-Workforce MF towels (Sam's club brand, passes CD scratch test and durable. Price unbeatable. I have tried Ultimate Wipes and SS MF's and cannot tell a difference.

I think that sums it up, the rest is Meguiar's stuff.

Windex Auto for glass. It's specially formulated Windex that claims to be safe for auto glass. I ran out a week ago and was looking for some fresh auto glass cleaner and saw a bottle of Invisible Glass. I almost picked it up but I hadn't heard of the product at the time so I went with another bottle of Windex Auto. Turns out everyone loves the Invisible Glass! Oh well, I'll remember for next time.

I've heard great things about Sprayway, once I kill this can of 3M and the bottle of Stoner's I just bought my next glass cleaner to test will probably be Sprayway. I don't use very much glass cleaner, so I don't want to go overboard and buy a gallon of D120; I just wash and wax my exterior window, I am careful not to touch the interior windows in the front and no one is allowed to sit in the back of my car.

I like the mothers because its a better deal (2 80 gram clay bars vs 2 50 gram Megs) I also feel the Mothers clay is a tad more aggressive.

2 truely miracle products I have found:

Ducky Waterspot Remover (available at Marine stores)

4U Cleaner (available at RV stores. Mix with water. Cleans anything and everything! better than any commerical cleaner I have tried and it's dirt cheap!)

I was under the impression that all clay in the USA was patented by Clay Magic and therefore subject to the same formula (although I'm not sure how this effects aggressiveness because there are different grades of aggressiveness).

I guess I just always assumed that one brand's mild clay was the same as another brand's mild clay. Maybe I'm wrong.

In any event, clay is another area where I buy a different brand... I use Riccardo Yellow, which is not available in the US on account of a patent lawsuit. To me, Ricardo yellow is a bit different from conventional clay, in that it is slightly more maliable and easier to work with.

Here are a few things that I use, most of which have been mentioned already:

                      - Collinite 476s Paste Wax
                      - Collinite 845 IW Liquid Wax
                      - Finish Kare 1000P Paste Wax (FK1000P)
                      - Optimum No-Rinse (ONR)
                      - Black Magic Tire Foam (might be replaced, but its on my shelf and I use it)
                      - Eagle One Nano Metal Polish
                      - Eagle One Nano Paste Wax (haven't tried yet, only $3 from Big Lots)
                      - Stoners Invisible Glass (trying to use it up, now have D120 on shelf)
                      - Grit Guards
                      - Mini-Absorber for drying
                      - California Drying Towels from ADS
                      - Lots of microfibers from ADS and Cobra / AutoGeek

I see the raves for Mothers Black-To-Black. Does anyone know if they reforumlated this or something? I have a bottle on the shelf, but I recall it not living up to my expectations. Maybe I need to give it another shot.

How could I forget that! I use the gel variation. I am very impressed with the results in spite of the price tag. You may want to try S100 wheel cleaner gel as an alternative. Much cheaper and gives the same outstanding results!

I've used these since sams club first brought these in (they use to carry hometex or microtex, i can't remember it's been a while) and they are the best bulk microfibers out there (for interior, door jams, engine, etc), and priced just right. I've had issues with the yellow costco microfibers (lint) and will never buy them again.

Oh i forgot to mention i also have collinite 476s.

Has that carnauba look plus durability of a sealant.

Only problem is that I hate applying it.
