FINALLY MARK! J/k, seems like i've been waiting for this video too long. Great job on it too! Im sure you put a ton of work into this and it came out great. THe music might not be needed as its kinda hard to focus on you talking and hearing the music, also the voice overs you did sounded really good, but again, with the music and your echo it IMO muffles what your saying. But this is all in a good way! If there is any help you need on these please let me know! I love video production type things. And aslo on behalf of MOL thanks for not only taking your time to do this, but the amount of trails you must have went thru to get this to be so easy.

I do not know does that constitute _official_ endorsement of the method by Meguiar's that one could hang their coat on in the case somebody ends up claiming it did not work as advertised and resulted in damage to their paint, with all consenquences that implies (responsibility for damage, damage to reputation of Meguiar's, MOL, and individuals, etc), or not, but it is good to know. Thank you for the clarification!

Not sure what you just said, but to be clear, it is not an official recommendation. The video was not produced by, thought up by, or directed by Meguiar's.

You will notice I use the language "I" in the video, not Meguiar's.

I simply used the nice facilities at Meguiar's headquarters to film it.

I do that as well, to get the product into the nooks and crannies. I let it soak a little and then use a little paint brush I keep soaking in the bottom of the bucket, so I don't have to force the mitt into the crannies.

So far the rinse-less method seems to work, not just for dust, but up to the point when the duster doesn't remove the dust, but before the dust has even started to adhere.

Hard to describe: I make a pass with the mitt, and then with my hand on questionable dirty areas. If its' not as smooth as glass, I go with Gold Class. Your method is so quick, it let's me practice detailing more. Can't believe how fast it goes.

          Thanks again for the vid.

I understand the concept, but it still makes me feel a bit uneasy.

I wonder how this could be applied in winter. For example, during the winter, if it is too cold, I go to a place where you use a wand to spray the car down. The only thing is that the car doesn't get 100% clean. Do you feel you could use this procedure after that to get closer to 100% clean?

This process will get your vehicle 100% clean. In fact, I find that I get better results since I don't have a bunch of bubbles blocking the paint. With a traditional wash sometimes the suds will obstruct my vision and I miss tough spots, where as the Last Touch solution allows direct sight of the surface as you work on it.

Sorry, but I cringed watching that video. While I realize this should only be done on a dusty car (no mud etc) I wouldn't, ....couldn't do that to my black beauty.
Fortunately I have no water restrictions, and even if I did.......I think I would rather let it stay dusty.
Thanks for the video though...I always did wonder how those rinseless washes worked.

Haha, I too used to cringe when I read about rinse-less washes. I just couldn't imagine that it actually worked.

...then I tried it. After months of using this on my personal vehicles and customer vehicles (that previously had full corrections) I can say for a fact that it is extremely safe.

Try it on someone else's car first

Good vid Mark! I, like most have been waiting for Megs to come up with something. Once I run out of ONR (about 40oz left) Ill try this out. Guess the next quesiton is how well (unofficially) will it work as a clay lube? It could replace ONR completely for me since it's cheaper overall. ~$20 for a 32oz ONR vs ~$30 for a gallon of Last Touch.

Last Touch is officially recommended at a 50/50 ratio for use as a clay lube. I've been using Last Touch exclusively as a clay lube for about a year now. Works great!

Great video Mark, very nicely done.

Guys, while this may not be a fully recommended procedure in the sense that Meguiar's does not market Last Touch as a rinseless wash product, when used as Mark has shown it can do an excellent job.

Obviously a process such as this is not for everyone, and obviously the car being demo'd on was not caked with month old dirt. But those of you facing heavy water restrictions, or in colder climates that can only get so much grunge off with a pressure washer in the dead of winter, this process should be strongly considered as a means to a cleaner car.

If Mark has been testing this process for many months on several different vehicles with minimal marring, you should take his word for it. The man is pretty darn good at what he does!

I've used Last Touch as a rinseless washing technique for awhile now, but I have to say I don't like it.

For some reason, the car just doesn't look as clean as it should. It might be a mental thing, but I notice when I use ONR, the car looks cleaner.

I think it has something to do with ONR having "cleaning agents" that lifts up dirt on the pores of the paint. While LT was meant to be a beautifying product that leaves a shiny finish on a lightly dusty or already clean car.

Don't get me wrong, if Mark has been using it with good results then it probably does work.

It's just IME, LT isn't all that great for rinseless washing.

Detailers clean places nobody see. Detailer see's things nobody else see. But if you ask a Detailer to see how a dress looks on a woman, they are blind.

that's something I was gonna ask.
                                This is how ONR works:
"The polymers in No Rinse have reactive groups that bond and trap dirt particles making the dirt particles virtually non-abrasive. They also bond to oily particles and emulsify them into water. The latter is equivalent to the cleaning action from soaps which also work by emulsifying oil particles into water. However, with soap there is no interaction with dirt. This is why adding No Rinse to a regular wash also helps protect the paint from dirt particles."

                                How does LT compare?
