Obviously Meguiar's only tests products within their own lines (it would be impossible to test everything out there), but you really shouldn't have any issues with Last Touch and polish.

I use Last Touch regularly as a lubricating/wetting agent to spray onto polish or compound that dries onto the paint and it helps greatly to safely and easily remove it. I have never experienced problems as a result.

Second question I have is, what do you do with your dirty mitt afterwards to clean it? Toss it in the washer? Any other tips for someone who is serious about actually doing this (on a Honda Civic)? Thanks.
    Hi!

I use it on a regular basis for washing several vehicles with various trim pieces and the LT works fine on them all. I use it to wash the windows, but I also follow up with a dedicated window cleaner for the clearest possible glass.

I wash my wash mitt in my washing machine just like the towels. Works fine for me. I use the Meguiar's microfiber wash mitt for all rinseless washing.

    Hope this helps!

    Mark

Guys, while this may not be a fully recommended procedure in the sense that Meguiar's does not market Last Touch as a rinseless wash product, when used as Mark has shown it can do an excellent job.

Obviously a process such as this is not for everyone, and obviously the car being demo'd on was not caked with month old dirt. But those of you facing heavy water restrictions, or in colder climates that can only get so much grunge off with a pressure washer in the dead of winter, this process should be strongly considered as a means to a cleaner car.

If Mark has been testing this process for many months on several different vehicles with minimal marring, you should take his word for it. The man is pretty darn good at what he does!
No, _I_ did not miss it nor do _I_ need it. But IMHO general YouTube viewing public, ones that will watch video there and do not come over here, will miss it even though they are the ones that need it as they are the ones that are about to try it not knowing enough.

I know a lot of members have asked about MEGS coming up with an rinse-less product. Until that happens thank you for sharing your system. So nice to have suggestions based on experience.

Thank you for clearly indicating that Last Touch is not a rinse-less product. At least now I can wash with ONR using your system. Especially starting on the uppermost/cleanest areas and using the recommended towels and m/f mitt.

I am regularly using your system , but am going to wait until megs comes up with a designated product or designates Last Touch, but, only to ensure compatibility in terms of not removing wax. Hope the vids keep coming. New blood means new ideas and everything that comes with it.

Great video Mark. I'm a new convert to ONR as of this year and I'm not sure if I've done a traditional car wash (w/hose) since. It's terrific information that I can use Last Touch as a similar replacement when needed. Again, thanks.

Noted, and thanks for the clarification.

Doing comparison tests is always a great idea, but please keep in mind that ONR was designed with one specific thought in mind - to be a no rinse wash. Last Touch most definitely was NOT. Truly equal results should not be expected, and due to the nature of ONR it most likely can be used on a considerably dirtier surface than LT - it was formulated to do so!

That doesn't mean that LT, used as Mark has shown, can't be a viable alternative in the proper context.

Very possible. Marketing can be a powerful force...

Not at all! I definitely appreciate the discussion because if there is an issue with this method I would want to know so we can see if there is a solution rather than ignoring it.

    Please keep us updated!

I found that Last Touch was incredibly effective at softening things up and making them wipe right away.

That quality is what made me feel it might be a good candidate for a rinse-less wash product. That's interesting it hasn't worked out for you... I can't say I've noticed that myself. Does it leave a haze? What exactly looks wrong?
I agree that LT is a quality product. It does have very high lubricity out of any detail spray i've used. I use it exclusively on my wrx because of the finish it leaves on the car.

But hold that thought, I'm going to do a comparison and put to rest my imaginations if one works better than the other (or work the same) and come back here with pics.

I tried it on my red Focus and my black Fiesta and couldn't see a difference. The only differences I noticed were: A.) I prefer the smell of Last Touch greatly over ONR, and B.) Last Touch felt slicker and ironically appeared to have a great "polymer protection" effect than the ONR did. I've seen videos of others using ONR and describing the way the water moves after use as due to polymers from the ONR, but I get more of that movement from Last Touch...

I want to make the switch because it's cost effective, but it has to have equal performance. Ill find someone local to me who can give me a sample so I can do a side by side and see for myself
