  • Getting ready to place an order.. last minute advice?

Ok, with all the stuff I have learned.. I still have one question.

Keep in mind, I do all this by hand.

If I used #9 first, should I use ScratchX after? Could I? If no, why not?

After these, I think #81 and then some #16.

    HOWEVER..

What id after I used the #81, I used the NXT, couple coats, and then a coating of#16?

    Phew!

    Opinions, please!

Wow I talk the talk and I am a little confused on that one.
Ok let’s break this down into goals
    1. Remove any micromaring and clean surface
I would try scratch x by itself first and see your results. If that works well I would forget 9 and go with that setup. Or try nine and if that works there should be no need for scratch X except on some of the deeper scratches. Test the two in different spots and see which results you like better. Or test 9 followed by scratch X and compare those results.

    2. Polish paint to its fullest
If you have clear coats go with 81. If you have a single stage paint go with 7 or 81. I like 7 better on a single stage finish.

    3. Protect
Go with the Nxt, I went from a very expensive carnauba to nxt because I liked the result better. Go with two coats spaced on day if possible. Then on the third day give it a coat of 16.

That is a recipe for success.

Sweet.. I am gonna love the way it comes out, I just know it!

I am buying a new house, and have a lot of work to do over the next month, so it looks like either wait till after winter or hope I get a good day to do it, and then store it back in the garage!

      Thanks!

Sounds good. Good luck to you and send us some pictures when you get around to doing it.
