I have used many Meguiar's products in the past. All my cars are older, so that gives me luxury of experimenting. Last year I ordered M105 sampler from ADS. This is the original M105 and I have used it by hand. It is really remarkable product. Unfortunately, there are some scratches which it is not able to handle by hand.
I am thinking that if I had DA, I might be able to get rid of them but I could be wrong. All those scratches can be felt by fingernail. I have also tried with wet-sanding. Sometimes, I get very good results but there had been times when the primer starts showing up in spots :-( That's where having your vehicle a decade old helps :-)
I am thinking of ordering (from ADS) 7424XP kit with Orange and White LC 5.5 pad with M205 and M105. It has Meguiar Velcro backing plate and the kit comes with choice of LC 5.5 pad. I prefer smaller diameter LC pads than Meguiar 7 SoftBuff.
1) Can I use Orange + M105 ?
2) Can I use White + M205 ?
3) Can I use tooth blush to clean the pad ?
4) How many cars can be typically done with 12oz bottle? I still have not ran out of my original sampler M105 but I was only doing it by hand.
I have some pictures taken and they are under Google Picasa website.
