  • Waxes turn Watery

I noticed that some of my waxes (NXT, GC) are watery. I always keep my products in the basement under temperature around 22C.

Some of these products are 2 years old. Is this a common problem when the products are too old.

What should I do with these products? Should I keep using them?

Do you shake the bottle before you use it?

Yes, I did shake the bottle vigorously.

Maybe my products are too old. I am from Toronto and many Meguiar's products are not available here. So, I usually get a few more products at a time.

I am not sure if Meguiar's could do anything about it, be it giving product advice or assist in product replacement. The products were purchased too long ago to be warranted for fitness.

I've gotten a bottle of UC that seems really runny to me- is it normally the consistency of wax? It's more like a very thin NXT... But it's the only bottle I've ever had or seen- so I have nothing to go by... I may call Meg's tomorrow...

i m having the same issue with UC, haven't even broken the seal on the bottle, and nxt. I store mine inside the house thinking that the garage temperature was effecting them, and still having issues. It's quite annoying, i know they will prolly send you a bottle if you send it in, but that doesn't do me any good if i m in the middle of detailing my car nor is it convenient in any matter.

Is it normal that with summer's higher temperatures solid waxes (such as #16 that I use) would turn softer?
