You have the general order down very well: Wash/dry, clay, clean, polish, wax. However, you have some unnecessary redundancies in your list. You don't need to do Deep Crystal Polish and then Show Car Glaze as they both do the same thing. Choose one. You CAN put one layer of carnauba wax on and then another layer of NXT 2.0 but I would choose one if I were you and go with that. That way you can do the other one next time and see which you like better.

If you want to put on 2 layers, I would put on 2 layers of the same wax.

By the way, that's a great selection of products. That's similar to how my list looked when I first started with detailing.

i have been told you need to put the NXT on before any carnuba wax. the NXT has slight cleaning abilities and will take the carnuba off. so you would put the NXT on and then let it cure for 12 hours and then top with a carnuba....but most people are happy with just the shine of NXT. or you could just use the carnuba and be set

thanks for the help! yeah, ahh I bought both though the polish and show car glaze. And yes i guess i'll put the NXT 2.0 then since it acts as a sealant.

Can someone please tell me the general rule for waxing? or is that a different thread..i know you have to do it in sections but sorry for being a noob.
        So..Hood first? then fenders? door?
just give me your suggestions , thanks a lot for being so helpful

Ryan G, or Mr. R. Yang,

you basically want to tape off the rubber edges around the windows, windshields, and lightings, ie. rubber seals. Rubber seals tend to trap a lot of dirt, and taping off the seals will help you prevent running your pads on them. You should also tape off any plastic that is on your car, such as the license plate frame, side mirror mouldings, plastic portion of the bumper, etc. Plastic are easily stained by waxes and polishes.

The idea is to not get any polishes or wax on anything that is plastic or rubber.

The Deep Crystal Polish and M07 are similar products and you shouldn't need both or use both, you certainly can but not needed. Polish it self is an option, a great option if you like it.

Your process looks good, 5 step: wash/clay/polish(& De-swirl)/Protect/Maintain.

Lot's of discussion about sealants and waxes, in a nutshell a sealant is a synthetic "wax" while a wax is a carnuba base..... Some lay down a coat of wax then seal it with synthetic (or is it the other way around.....).

When you wax, THIN layers, wax your whole car, do a Swipe Test, then either wait at least an hour or longer, most say wait 12 hours and wax again and use a QD to remove any surface dust.

ScratchX 2.0 shoud be used to get out those pesky scratches and fingernail marks at the door handle.

Not sure what 303 is, I'm guessin if memory serves it's a protectant for plastic? If memory serves, it's a good product from reading.....I like M40.

A lot use APC for cleaning instead of Simple Green, I used to use simple green and now use APC and APC+ for my cleaning.

Stoners is a good product, but give NXT glass cleaner a shot or the Detailer line a shot when you run out, I love NXT glass cleaner after using Stoners and Eagle 1, nothing wrong with them and if you like them, by all means use it

Lastly, I tape off my black trim when waxing when I started, now that I'm better at waxing and cleaning the paint of swirls, I don't get as much on them, but it's a good idea and I do tape on occasion.

By the way, are you doing this by hand or machine?
