M205 and D151 differences?

Besides the obvious fact that one is a cleaner polish and the other is an AIO product what are the differences between the two corresponding to cut, working time and appearance. Has anybody ever done a side by side comparison between the two? Both utilize the new SMAT particles and I would like to believe that the finish produced by the two would be very similar if not the same.

If they are so similar, besides their composition, it would be more economical to get a gallon of d151 vs 32oz m205 for the same price. I basically stuck between which to get and try out.

I think D151 is more aggressive than M205, but I'll leave that to the experts.

D151 is more aggressive than M83. M83 is also rated a 6 on the cut scale while M205 is rated a 4.

Meguiar's M205 Ultra Finishing Polish!!!

The basic difference is that M205 offers no protection and is a polish. PRC 151 is a cleaner/polish/wax all in one, if you wanted to use it that way.

I've read both of tims reviews but Im still really stuck on the finishing capabilities on the two if the even look similar, or remotely different side by side. From tims photos they both look superb and they are great reviews but he never really compared the two besides saying D151 is much thicker.

M205 is going to finish out nicer since after all it is a finishing polish. D151 will finish out nice on some paints but maybe not others.

Give them both a try and see which one gives you the resultsyour looking for.

So far I have only used M205, I will get D151 once my M66 runs out.

I think I might order D151 for door sills and other parts I don't feel like giving as much attention to in my car...

Where do you live in Philly?

I have both products if you would like to try them out before you make a decision. I am in the Far Northeast. Heck, I'll even give you some PRC151, I have plenty.

Im in north philly, Olney area. As long as your within the city and not just outside I'll take you up on your offer. Im on probation and normally I dont have a problem leaving the city but cops in NE are not fans of me leaving.
