  • Detailed My Jeep

Hey guys, just detailed my '09 Jeep Patriot. It was the first time I really detailed with a plan. Also the first time I detailed using the "polishing" step. I really feel like this is the missing link to getting the mirror like finishes we all strive for. Let me know what you think!

The products I used are as follows:

    Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner
    Smooth Surface Clay Kit
    COLORx Polish
    NXT Tech Wax 2.0
    Quick Detailer (before pics)
    Hot Shine Gloss Tire Coating

Beautiful results, Drummereef! I own a Patriot too, my color is "steel blue". It seems that the prominent orange peel is a common feature of all Jeep Patriots.

good job! Your on way to having a nice clean Jeep.
Now go get it all dirty!
I used to do that with mine all the time, my neighbors thought I was crazy.

Wow, thanks for the kind comments guys! I think it's a love/hate relationship with Meguiar's products though. I love the results but hate how it makes my car REALLY look like a production paint job. LOL! Yeah, the orange peel is pretty bad on most Jeeps from what I've seen. The sandstone color I picked does cover it up somewhat but the perfectionist in me knows it's there. As long as I can cover it with some Meguiar's shine I'll be OK with it.
