  • Applicator pads turned green!

I really wasnt paying attention when putting a load of microfibres in the washing machine, I had some blue microfibre towels in the load. Now I got green water magnets and green applicator pads. My white glass cleaning towel is now baby blue.
Well the important thing is that they still are functional

Anyone else had any similar mishaps?

Fill me in guys, but I have bought a lot of MF in the past and NONE of them discolored on me when I washed them together.

And I heard that MF towels with tags sewn on the edge are junks. I simply cut the tags off to the very edge and have had no problem with them. Do you guys only use MF that do not have tags sewn on the edge?

I think most, if not all, microfibers have tags sewn on them. Even my Supreme Shines that were in the clay kit had tags on them. I just removed them.

The worst thing is that I am pretty sure that I washed mixed colour microfibres before, including the suspect towels, that was on the initial wash. After giving them that primary wash there was no colour run at all. So I'm not sure what happened.

I had the same experience. I wanted to wash my MF towels. Then suddenly my wife put a red colour cloth that she just bought for the kitchen use inside the washing machine. So after washing. . . hahaha . . all my MF changed colour. . . into red and pink MF. Dont worry it still functions as always. from time to time the normal colour will come back after washes.

I washed my absorber in a load of microfibers today, it went in bright yellow and came out orange! Seems to still work great though.
If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to record the event, how can you be certain that there was a tree or even a forest to begin with?

Fortunately, I have not had this problem, so far. I usualy de-tag the micro's and wash them before using them.

Gives me a reason to be thankful that my wife never touches any of the car detailing stuff I have and only does about 50% of the total laundry.....
