    Re: Meguiars PlastX

I would go with something less aggressive like Swirl X or M205, Plast X is actually pretty aggressive.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

PlastX is not made for clear coated wood trim.

Use A Product such as ScratchX, SwirlX

If you are sure the imatation wood is indeed is plastic, then use PlastX. I use PlastX on a ton of stuff, it's aggressive as how you apply it so, the motion of your hand/machine can make it more aggressive or light.......

I've used PlastX with a Rotary and wool pad to clean up my taillights or you can use it by hand lightly. Procedure.

The common practice around here is TEST SPOT and start least aggressive first.

I know that PlastX will remove the reflector on a GM Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) reflector..... (GMC Yukon). So be careful.

            Re: Meguiars PlastX

For interior plastic, I used Meguiar's ScratchX (initial version improved for DA).

It's sad that Meguiar's no longer produces such fine product. Although it wasn't powerful enough compared to ScratchX 2.0 on paint, it worked great on delicate plastic. Good thing I stocked up a few tubes just in case.
