  • orbital buffer

    Hello!
    I have a 97 explorer its black and the paint is really bad.
    Its rough has ALOT of scratches and smudges and wasnt washed in like a year (it was sitting in the yard at my work) but the clear coat looks ok not damaged.
    Its so bad it looks grey in spots.

    My plan so far is;
    1. clay bar
    2. use ultimate (if i can find it) or scratch x
    3. wax with tech wax (i use it on my bike works great!)

    My question is my neighbor has a orbital buffer he will let me use,
    can I apply the scratch x with it? or would it be better to do it by hand?

    Thanks!

    Re: orbital buffer

    Might want to do the ScratchX by hand on scratches and then buy some Ultimate Compound and SwirlX to use with the orbital.

      Re: orbital buffer

      The orbital won't do much.Is it scratchX or scratchX 2.0?

      ScratchX is milder than swirlX.ScratchX 2.0 is more aggressive than swirlX.Ultimate compound is the most aggressive from the consumer line.

      Try a test spot with a hand applicator,after washing and claying.
