  • Wheel Cleaners

I'm confused. Seems every wheel cleaner I look at has a warning. All I want is one wheel cleaner for all types of wheels (painted, aluminum, clear coated, etc) that will remove brake dust but not damage the wheel. What Meguiars product fills the bill?

Head to Target and get Gold Class all wheel cleaner ($6)! Works and is safe on any wheel!

You can also try Multi-Piece (big lots $3.50) or the new Aliminum wheel cleaner. Their both the same but I would say the gold class is the safest of the 3.

Any of the above mentioned wheel cleaners would fit your needs.

It may be tough to find the Multi-Piece though since we no longer make it, so our Hot Rims Aluminum Wheel Cleaner or the Gold Class All Wheel Cleaner will be the easiest to locate

If you have a Big Lots nearby you can get Multi Piece for 3.50, they literally have probably 30 bottle at my local big lots

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

          I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
          Remove swirls my friends.

I just wax my wheels every time I wax my car (about once a month). The wheel dusts come off easily when washing the car or simply wipe them with paper towels.

These specialized wheel cleaners will probably remove the wax as well.

This is why I prefer regular wax. For me, wheels are similar to other painted car panels. They are painted surfaces with clear coat.

With wax, brake dusts can come off easily and it has the added benefits of protecting the wheels from road salt and other environmental elements.

That's odd that you mention those products. I've never seen them in any of my local stores but the Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner can be found virtually everywhere. In fact that was the product that got me hooked on Meguiars.
