  • ALOT of information to absorb!

Im a new guy here, I have been shadowing for over 2 weeks SOAKING in all the information here. I work at an auto body shop, and cannot believe I have been buffing the hard way (its the bosses way though..)

I am getting ready to start doing some side work on some of my family members cars and want to make sure I start with the most effective products as I am about to place an order on ADS

I plan on ordering some 105 and 205 along w/ a G110. Not sure which pads, I am having trouble finding an orange pad on ADS? maybe the red one is really orange and I am color blind? Is there a difference in micro fiber towels? I thought they were all the same until there was a huge selection on the website. I was planning on going with the NXT 2.0 Wax, Smooth surface clay kit, some grit guards and a water magnet drying towel.

I plan on using other products i already have for the wheels and engine bay.

Am i missing anything? or is this a good start?

    Thanks

      Welcome to MOL

We would suggest you go with our W8207 yellow polishing pad and our black W9207 finishing pad along with your G110

Overall, that is a pretty good start and ADS will certainly be able to take care of you ! Rick is a great guy !

I love my water magnet. Dried 3 cars in a row with it, didn't stop soaking water.

          Thanks for the responses

The link you provided really helped me understand the g110 better (i read it a few days ago) it was what inspired me to get one.

Why do some people prefer to use 83 and 84 when others use 105 and 205?

looking through the products it seems the 83 and 84 would be less abrasive am i correct?

            Hello and welcome to mol.

I think you are on the right track. Get the 8207 and 9207 pads. If you want you can also get the 7207 pads and a couple microfiber bonnets to remove the wax.

Ads is a great place to get your stuff. Use them all the time.

            Good luck.

M83 and M84 are part of our "80" series line that was launched 10-15 years ago

While M83 works great with a DA polisher, M84 is for rotary use only. People do still use them because they both work well and people are simply accustomed to the way perform and stay with them.

M105 an M205 utilize our newest technology and work with both DA polisher and rotary. They both use our newer style micro abrasive technology.

Since you are just starting out and are not familiar with M83 / M84 necessarily, we suggest you stick to using M105 & M205
