  • Prolem with adhesive remover.

A member from another forum took his side trim off. He now has a problem with the paint acting funny.

Anywhere the cleaner was left a 'film', as he described it. It attracts insane amounts of dust now.

    Has anyone had this problem?

That person may have used a remover that left a residue on the paint surface, but that can be easily fixed with a light paint cleaner, APC, etc.

Well, sounds like at that point just have to try a few things. Clay, UC/#105, Dawn, IPA, Goo Gone, Goof Off...

I would give it a good washing, then try some goo gone or even WD40. Then re wash the area. It looks like he did not remove all the adhesive. He has to clean the area thoroughly.
