  • ColorX on overnight?????

I want to ColorX my car this week and follow up with a coat of #20. I know well enough not to leave #20 on any longer than absolutely necessary to set up, or it will be a real bugger to get off, but I may need to leave the ColorX on overnight. Will this be a really problem to get off or no different than wiping it off right after it hazes?. I know not to leave the 20 on, but ColorX????
    Much thanks.

While Meguiars AIO's are fairly easy to wipe off, I would not let it sit overnight.

Once it has dried and hazed, there is no advantage to leaving the residue on the paint. ColorX should not cause any damage if you did, but there is no need to.

It's going to be a PITA to remove, but yeah, you can do pretty much whatever. Keep in mind that you might need a QD to remove the dried residue.

Blueline, you do not need to leave it on over night. It hazes fairly quickly. Just remove it and go to bed.

Thanks all. I know I do not HAVE to leave it on overnight, or that that there will be some advantage to doing so, I was just wondering if I did leave it on would it be a PITA to remove in the morning. A friend may drop over and I don't want to be rude to keep on waxing, so I thought I would just leave it on overnight, but it seems from all your replies, that it will be more difficult to remove. I will just wait another day, and wipe on and wipe off.
            Thanks for the help.

Just invite your friend to a waxing party and show him/her what fun you are having..
