  • Waxing Steps

    Hey all,

I have a question about waxing. I'm going to wax a few cars for a couple of buddies of mine to make a few bucks. I need some help in product selection though.

Which wax is better, NXT or Gold Class?

And do I have to do like a ColorX coat, then NXT? Or like a Cleaner Wax coat and NXT.

    Thanks for any help

    240sx,

If the vehicle haven't been regularly maintained using a cleaner wax like ColorX is a good idea. You should also consider picking up a Smooth Surface Clay Bar kit as well to help clean the paint and maximize the effectiveness of the wax.

If you want to be particularly thorough and leave long-lasting protection a good plan would be Wash > Clay > ColorX > NXT 2.0.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks alot Mark, I'll try that out.

If the vehicle has been mantained though, I can just apply NXT every month or whatever right?
