  • What color is M205 and M21 when they dry?

M26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax states on the bottle "Goes on and off easily and does not dry white".

Both M205 and M21 don't state what color when they are dry.

    Thanks.

You don't want to find out what color M205 is. It's a cleaner-polish and is intended to be wiped-off immediately after polishing. You do not want it to dry on the paint surface. See: Which products need to dry before removing?

M21 dries clear on paint; but do not apply it to rubber and plastic trim, and if you do get it on it, then wipe it off. If you allow it to dry and remain on the trim for any length of time, you may have a problem with staining, at least so I have read. I haven't tried M21 yet, though I have used NXT many times but have always made sure to wipe off any wax that I got onto the trim (which I always seem to do), so I have not actually witnessed staining.

Thanks for the reply. I realize M205 is to be wiped off before it drys. I was concerned about small amount that may get into joints an crevasses.

Should just dry white if there are any in the crevices.

Well, that's no fun. I was hoping for a chartreuse ...

I was hoping for "clear" like the M26.
