  • Costco MF?

What do you guys think about the yellow MF available at Costco? It appears to be less "plush" than the Supreme Shine MF and the usual quality ones available in the automotive asile at your local stores.

It is probably good enough for dressing the interior or cleaning counter tops and windows. But is this type of MF suitable for drying and wiping off wax/polish?

Supreme Shine is kind of expensive to replace. I am looking for some disposable/cheaper alternatives for some heavy duty jobs.

I use them for carpet and wheel duty. They never touch my paint, or my client's paint. Do they scratch? Not sure... but I don't want to risk using a budget brand towel.

I use a lot (about 150) of the Costco towels for a lot of different uses. I rarely use them on paint unless I have no other option.

They are fine for everything though, just up to you if you want to use them on the paint or not.

I have about 70 of them. I use em for everything and they work pretty well EXCEPT paint.

And actually they are pretty poor build quality. After 1 wash, the edges are already torn.

But seeing as how they are very cheap, it's cost effective for the grunge work.

I never cared for the yellow costco mf towels as they lint IME. The sams club mf towels are a better choice between the two.

They work great for a variety of chores but I don't use them for paint related chores.

I just got a 24 pack of orange MFs from Sam's Club. It was $10 for a 24 pack!
They've gone through the wash about 5 times now, and they're holding up just fine. They have a different nap on each side of the towel, one side is just about the same as Supreme Shine MFs and the other side is more like normal budget-brand MFs. I use the thick side for final polishing/absorbing products (wiping up M7, M83, M9, etc.) and buffing LSPs. They're working pretty well for me, but I still prefer my SS MFs and keep them separate.
If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to record the event, how can you be certain that there was a tree or even a forest to begin with?

My friend uses Costco MF and he likes it. Maybe he does not have the other kinds to compare.

There is no Sam club in Toronto. Maybe they have them in Walmart. What color are these Sam's MF?

I use Sam's Club MF, and once in a while SS MF. Sam's Club MF, works fine as long as you don't soak it with so much dirt, that the MF cannot accomodate.

Do you have a Target Store near? They have orange color MF by Vroom and I think they are very good for paint use. I use them for UQD and QW. They were recently on sale for 10 for $5 I think.....trusting my memory on that price but they are reasonably priced anyway.

I have to agree on the Orange Target Vrrooms.

Though there are purists who believe "Nothing will touch my paint except a high quality MF"

The vrroom's for the price, leaves no marring, and seem to work just as well as the green cobra MF's.

I have relegated all of my Costco MF towels to non-paint duty. I did find that they were leaving some marks on the paint after using them for with UQD. But the problem is that I don't have enough SS MFs to replace them yet...

                            Don't use them on paint,

but they are perfect for Wheels, Tires, Engines, Windows, Interior, Carpet, etc.

While they are not the best on paint they still work if they are well taken care of and relatively new.
