2005 Cadillac STS Paint?

Does anybody have any experience with Cadillac STS?

I have a fairly severely swirled/scratched STS lined up for a quick exterior detail. I inspected the paint and there are a light scratched marks from improper washing. There are no deep scratches, and I believe M105 will not be needed. I need to do this thing very quickly as the owner will be needing the car for the evening.

A quick rub with the clay will be on the list. The next would be to a pass with an either/or with UC or SwirlX.

Does anybody have anything to share regarding the STS paint?

How much perfection did they sign up for? Working by G110 / rotary?

Oh, it's going to be a PC7424 with the "packaged" common pad.

The folks don't demand much perfection. In fact, their main concern was to have their windshields properly cleaned. The "wax" part was their least concern. Nonetheless I wish I could do the best with the amount of time and with as little cost as possible.

I figured that one pass of UC and/or SwirlX would suffice for their demands. But I will see.

In the situation you described a aio would be your best bet. Good luck.

I have a Cadillac CTS, so unless you have the White Diamond tricoat, our paint jobs would be very much alike. Cadillac has very hard paint, and UC does absolutely nothing. So M105 is needed, and G110 as well.

I did a Blue STS once and I used M83, followed by M80 and it seemed to do the trick. http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sho...light=Cadillac
