How bad are the swirls on your car? Start with the least aggressive which is Swirl X. If that doesn't work on your test spot, move up to Scratch X 2.0, if that doesn't work on a new test spot move up to Ultimate Compound. If you get to UC, you may have to follow it with something less aggressive like Scratch X 2.0 or Swirl X.

As for a LSP that you can get in stores, I would go with NXT 2.0

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

It also depends on how much work you want to do.

      1. Wash
      2. Clay
      3. ColorX
      4. Wax - Nxt 2.0

      is a great quick detail.

If you want to get into removing swirls/defects, now or in the future, that is when you will need to pick up some SwirlX to do a test spot with, then jumping up to UC if needed.

Yes, SwirlX and UC are both paint cleaners.

ColorX is a cleaner/wax, so has some paint cleaning ability also.
