  • Water spots on glass

My buddies car has some nasty water spots on his glass. We have tried several glass cleaners and also claying with no luck at all. I was kinda thinking of using my PC and some cleaner wax and going at it but thought I'd ask first lol. What else can I try?

Chrome polish works great on glass. Don't use it on the tinted glass with the film on it. If it is on the outside you should be fine.

Any chance you have access to a rotary buffer? M04 Heavy Cut Cleaner and a wool pad will make quick work of water spots on glass.

Full strength alcohol or vingear has worked for on glasses.

I have permanently created scratches on glasses before using paint polishes. Avoid using any polishes on glass at all cost. Once the glass is scratched, it would be hard to reverse the damage. Glass is much harder than paint, and thus harder to polish repairs.

M205 has a bit too much lubricating/infusing oils as it is a finishing glaze to use on glass for my tastes. I'd grab some Ultimate Compound and try by hand first with a foam applicator. You can grab a bottle of UC for $10 anywhere locally.

Try "Glass Scrub". You can find it in the auto section at many Wallymarts. It is specifically made for this problem. It works well and costs $4 I believe.

it's better than a sharp stick in the eye any day!
