A couple weeks ago I didn't know much about detailing a vehicle. I'm still obviously no expert, but I have learned a few things by joining this forum and reading the wealth of information that is available. There are a lot of things (especially the prep) that most folks either don't understand or take for granted to get the best possible look to your vehicle's paint surface. Here are some pics of my new ride after I detailed the exterior.
Let me just start by saying that even the hand wash I took for granted until I viewed the video on this site (2 bucket method). Then came the quick detail using QD and then the Megs smooth bar clay kit which I had no clue on prior to joining this site. Following the instructions (again from viewing the clay video) I was amazed at the results. Finally 2 coats of #21 synthetic sealant and the color on the truck has come ALIVE !!!.
Thanks to this site I have a new fond knowledge of taking care of a vehicles paint. Great site.
