I am so MAD

I just detailed my car 2 days ago full detail; wash, dry, clay, polish, wax (3 layers)... i did about 90 percent paint correction and all. Took for ever and today the pool guy broke a water pump as he was working on the fountain system at my house and sprayed water ALLLLL OVER MY GTR(car). Then he desided not to say anything untill he semi cleaned it with "A RAG" i dont even wanna see all the little scratches he put in. WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN THIS SITUATION?

I think you need to immediately give the vehicle a thorough traditional wash. If you have any Last Touch on hand, do a wipe down after the wash with that as it does very well at removing fresh water spots.

After that, assess the paint and decide if it is worth raising an issue with him. It may be less hassle and headache to just lightly re-polish the affected areas.

Sorry to hear about that- I had a similar situation with sprinklers at 3:00 PM at Home Depot. You would think Home Depot of all places would know how to A.) Aim sprinklers, and B.) To run them during the night. Guess not...

Spend a few hours explaining why he should never have used a "rag" and what kind of products and techniques he should have used. Then, kill him.

Have a word with his manager about touching things he shouldn't. He was there to fix your fountain system, not dry your car off when he made a water mistake. He should have informed you before touching anything that he wasn't covered by his insurance to touch. If it's scratched up too bad, tell his manager that you're going to have a new service company, and explain why. No excuse for that kind of thing.

I can so relate.... My car was at my in-laws today.... and got hit with their sprinklers.... what's worse is my father-in-law puts "additives" i.e. pesticides and fertilizers in his water system when he waters. Nothing like a last minute wash and UQD after work...

No not the GTR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The car was probably wincing in pain when he cleaned it with a rag! Oh man I hope the car is okay!

I watched a video from Japan about the GT-R. in the Nissan factory, the GT-R is washed by workers using a large bucket and a dirty brush. Oh, the same bucket and brush wash about 20 cars, from roof to the wheels.

At least you qd it before the mineral deposits set up. I would have a talk with the company. They could have done more harm then good. Sorry this happened.

I finally moved next door to the place with a driveway. The driveway is narrow and surrounded by lawns on either side. 3 times a week my car is hit early in the morning on BOTH sides by sprinklers. I don't have time to wash my car 3 times a week, so my next best plan of attack is to either move the car at 4:00 AM, or blow off the sprinkler water with my leaf blower and QD by 7:00 AM. Going with option 2 for now, since I usually QD my car 2-3 a week anyway.
