  • Would This Work As Shade From The Sun?

I'm looking to start mobile detailing, and wondering if this kind of canopy would work as shelter from the sun. (Clicking on the pic will take you to the larger version).

Any thoughts on whether or not it would work are appreciated.

    Thank you.

This is the description of it:

This is a large size white party tent with high quality powder coated steel frame and durable water proof polyethylene cove. The tents can hold up to 50 people. Unlike other products, no drilling or field cutting is required.
Walls attach with Velcro fasteners for easily assembly/ removal. Sidewalls are easily removed for open air exhibits or outdoor events with overhead protection. Unit features attractive framed windows on both sides for maximum light and viewing. Each window features permanent clear panes of plastic. Six full closed window style solid sidewalls keep your party private and non-disturbed. Corner flaps hide frame poles when sides are removed.
This high quality canopy is made by a ISO9001 certified manufacturer.

    Features:
    Brand new in factory box
High quality, rust & corrosion resistant powdered coated steel framework
4 beautiful removable window style sidewalls
    2 front/back doors
    Elegant white design
    Full 10'X20' straight leg design

It would certainly work, that's a damn big canopy though. Probably pretty expensive and HEAVY too. EZ Up makes some really good canopies that go up nice and easy, are reasonably priced, and don't weigh a ton. I think the 13'x20' EZ Up weights around 75 pounds, and can be set up by one person*.

    * one person setup claim assumes hulk-like strength and Stretch Armstrong stretchy arms.
If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to record the event, how can you be certain that there was a tree or even a forest to begin with?

Honestly, that is too big for me.
It would be a pain to put together, take apart, etc.
Also storing it would be a pain.
      I'm sure it's expensive too.

Plus no one can see what your doing.
I get so many customers because they see me doing a car and get curious.

I would just get a standard tent like this:

Paneled canopies get hot and stuffy (ever gone camping during the summer and went inside the tent in the afternoon?) Better to get a 10'x10', or a 12'x12' open sided canopy.

It appears t be a very good canopy. However it also seems to be more for a party or show. By that i mean it does not appear to be a mobile, easy up, easy down canopy. I would look at a easy up canopy.

I have one but I have not set it up in the street out of concerns that I might get ticketed. But I'm moving into a house this weekend with a driveway, so the canopy goes up soon!
