  • Swirl/Scratch product recommendations

    Hey Guys

I am preparing for my second wax job on my 02 X sport. First one was with some old Turtle wax hard shell; this time I have some NXT ready. These are the worst spots on the car. I have 3 questions:

1 What product would you recommend for each part?

2 What is the application/remove process for these products?

3 In where can I find swirl X in the GTA?

    Pic 1

    Pic 2 (gas gap scratches)

    Pic 3 (worst one)

    Pic 4

    Thanks

your 1st two pics i'm not entirely sure.In the first,I can't tell if they are deep scratches or if it's just the reflection of the light.

Your 3rd pic looks like a scratch that can't be cut out.It appears to be to deep.

4th pic is a normal swirl. You'll want to start with the least aggressive and see how it fairs:

    swirlX is least aggressive.
    scratchX2.0 is next.
    Ultimate Compound is more aggressive.

    Do a test spot first.

The first one is scratches and not reflection, how the pair got there I don't know. Is there anything that would lessen the look of the 3rd one?

        Re: Swirl/Scratch product recommendations

In the third pic,it looks like a deep scratch that can't be dealt with cleaner/polishes.

Is it down to the metal?

Unless it's a score of paint off of another vehicle?

I am new to this but It doesn't seem likes to down to the metal, its location on the truck is on the back corner near the middle of rear windshield so no chance of it being another vehicle paint.

Yeah, that third pic looks real deep.

Maybe a little more zoomed out of a pic would help, but that one looks like trouble.

right at the edge it looks like the scratch is definitely past the clearcoat

That one looks way to deep to fix. For the others I would try scratch x 2.0 on a test spot. If not to your liking move up to the Ultimate compound.
