  • Holy WOW!

I've been neglecting my poor leather interior lately(about the last 50,000 miles), and finally got around to giving it a proper cleaning.
    I'm using GC Leather Cleaner/Conditioner

and a horsehair toothbrush that I've had for a few years
and a WHOLE LOT of paper towels

I start by pulling a small amount of cleaner onto the bristles of the brush, then work it into the leather using small circular motions. This allows the dirt and grime on the seats to emulsify with the cleaner and draws it off of the surface. I then wipe the cleaner off the leather using a folded paper towel, and use the same dirty towel to clean the toothbrush which has gotten dirty through the scrubbing action.

You can see in this picture that it's a VERY effective product and method:

The area at top left and the uppermost interior panel of the base have not been cleaned yet in the above picture.
Due to educational commitments, finishing the seats up will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon, so I'll just leave you with the above as a teaser
It's a time consuming method, but highly effective in cleaning neglected leather. I'm sure that a larger brush would expedite the process without sacrificing effectiveness for people with time constraints.
If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to record the event, how can you be certain that there was a tree or even a forest to begin with?

If you scrub the product into the seats, you'll be amazed at how much dirt comes off when you wipe it away. I had no idea how dirty my seats were until I dripped a little M40 on one of them while cleaning the armrests and all manner of dirt came off when I wiped it up. They're much closer to white than I thought they were . I don't really know what color I thought they were, but no harm no foul, right?

Post pics of the black leather cleaning

I tried some of this a while ago and I must say it's the only Megs product (and I've tried a lot) that I didn't like.

The only thing I can put it down to is that I was perhaps using the wrong product. My seats are new, clean and in good condition so perhaps I needed just a conditioner.

My seats are black leather and the product seemed to be too harsh and abrasive and didn't easily come off the perforations in the leather.

Good to see you got great results though.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I've had this stuff for a few years and I didn't like it until I started agitating it. It's been sitting in my garage for about 3 years now, untouched. For some reason I got the inspiration to agitate the product and now I love it. I'm saving my bottle of Medallion leather/cleaner conditioner for my new car

Hey Meguiars! Bring back the Medallion line!
