ok well, i just somewhat put together a list from mainly what Bounty and a few others had told me. Heres the end result for a grand total, minus some stuff i didnt feel like adding because of time restraints

        Total: $772.16

        HOLYYYYYY CR@P!!!!!!

OK now, its cut, copy and paste time. What products are a MUST HAVE to do a quality detail with, without spending this nearly 800 bucks at one time.

So tell me what i MUST/NEED to get to do a quality detail!!

Well for me my first purchases were all interior things to do soccer mom vans and get money for the expensive stuff.

So you will need things to wash and dry. Polshes, micro fibers, clay, lubricant, spray detailer, machine, pads, wax, and trim dressing. Also, mitts and various brushes. Possibly some rim cleaner.

Im sure ive missed some but thats only outside. I know how you feel though, once I get some stuff sold Ill be placing an order close to that size with ADS this hobby is expensive

Ok, let's try to sort this one out. Your G110 is going to be the single biggest investment right off the bat so there's not much we can do there other than try to find an ADS package that comes with some of the other products you need like M105/M205.

You can save a bit on the microfibers by just getting two quality levels...Meg's Supreme Shines and some of the ADS blues for general purpose work. Leave the Ultimate Wipes for a little later.

Pads are an area for savings as well. Lose the cutting pads for now as they're for heavy defect removal and are more of a specialty product for specific situations. You can get a decent amount of correction from the M105/Polishing pad combo so stick with that for now.

As for all the different professional line products try this...

            1. Drop the M39 and just grab a bottle of M40 for a good cleaner/conditioner/protectant all-in-one product that can be used on interiors, exteriors, and engine bays.

            2. Go for the "sampler" 32 oz sizes of the pro products like Hyperdressing, glass cleaner, wheel brightener, and APC+ so that you get both the Detailer bottle for them and dilutable solutions that will stretch for you.

            3. Grab a gallon of Last Touch as it is also dilutable 1:1 (making it really two gallons) and can be used for clay lube, quick detailing, and wheel detailing.

            4. Anything you were thinking about buying in bulk or multiples of trim down to just one until your revenue stream after a few details catches up and you can fund further purchases.

If you post up your exact shopping cart list we can offer some more specific advice but this should help a bit...

Ok, we tried the list first and it proved to be more expense than expected so let's work backwards....what were you looking to spend? That way I can look on Rick's site and make recommendations up to the spending limit.

id say maybe 300 bucks or so....which doesnt add a lot over the 150 for the G110, only an additional 150 to spend, but also remember, i can get quite a few of these for around the same price here OTC as i need such as wax etc.

Detailing Stix. I've been using them more and more for interiors. Gets into places i'd normally have to shove a towel into with ease. Makes easier work of anything that involves cleaning small, tight areas.

I will give you my list.

                        D110 Hyper Wash - 1 Gallon
                        2 Grit Guards
2 SM Arnold Sheepskin Woll Mitt

Meguiar's G110 Dual-Action Polisher Express Kit from ADS
Buy a 6 pack of pads. 2 of each should be plenty so you will have 2 cutting, 4 polishing, 3 finishing.

Polish, buy yourself a quart of 105 and a quart of 205.

For clay Meguiar's Mild Detailing Clay will be good.

Last Touch - 1 gallon for clay lube.

Super Degreaser - 1 gallon for tires, wheel wells, engine, etc.

Wheel Brightner - 1 gallon - For wheels.....buy cut it 4:1 for heavy cleaning, 10:1 for lighter cleaning

APC - 1 gallon - Interior cleaning and leather cleaning.

                        Quick Interior Detailer x2

Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Conditioner

                        D120 Glass Cleaner Concentrate - 1 gallon

                        HyperDressing - 1 gallon

                        Supreme Shines x24
                        Foam applicators x12
                        Even coat applicators x12
                        Waffle Weave drying towels x2

Im sure there is more but this is the way I would go. It will cost you less in the long run.
If its fast, loud, and runs on a flammable liquid...count me in.

Zach you're making me work here....

Ok let's see...$300 not a lot but workable. How does this list look:

                            1. ADS G110 Express Kit - $169.99
                            2. ADS Ultra Synthetic DA Polishing Kit - $89.95

With these two items you're looking at $259.94 and you'll receive:

                            1. A G110 Polisher
                            2. 12oz bottle of M205
                            3. 32oz bottle of M105
                            4. 32oz bottle of M205
                            5. W67DA backing plate
                            6. 3 W8207 polishing pads
                            7. 2 W9207 finishing pads
                            8. 160z M135 Detailing Spray
                            9. 2 Microfiber bonnets for the polisher (wax removal)
                            10. 6 Meg's Supreme Shine microfiber towels
                            11. Meg's black duffel bag
                            12. G110 hard-plastic black carrying case

This pretty much has you covered to begin paint correction work. You have 3 polishing pads and two finishing pads so that should be enough to do a car with cleaning on the fly. You have enough product to last you a good while and have a good headstart on premium microfibers to touch the paint. You can even ask Rick if he can swap out the 12oz M205 bottle for another 12oz sampler like D151 so you can add another product to your arsenal. He's typically very considerate and accommodating that way.

As you stated a lot of the basic wash stuff you can grab locally at an auto parts store or WalMart so you can grab what you need and work up from there. With the $40 or so you have left over I'd go with:

                            1. 32oz Last Touch sampler (diluted 1:1 that's 64oz)
                            2. 32oz APC+ (diluted 4:1 that's 1 gallon)
                            3. 32oz Wheel Brightener (diluted 10:1 that's 2.3 gallons)
                            4. 16oz M40 Vinyl + Rubber Cleaner/Protectant

You'll go a little over $300 with the odds and ends but you can get to work immediately and start bringing in some money to fund your product purchases until you work up to a level where you have all you need...
