        Hi ef.

You would be better to prep your car first. This will enhance the appearnce of your car dramaticaly, plus be more effective.

1]Wash and dry your car.Use a quality auto shampoo like gold class, soft gel or nxt. Then dry.
2]Clay your car with the quik clay kit and use plenty of quik detailer, which comes with it.
3]Polish your car with something like DC step 2.Sometimes I use others here.DON'T allow polish to dry, like a wax.
4]The choice of wax is up to you.I've used DC3,carnauba for many years with great success.Gold Class is also very good.A lot today like to use the NXT tech wax2.0,so probably that's a good start.
5]Mainenance.Keep your wax good by using quik detailer or ultimate quik detailer in between washes.

I hope this helps you out.If i've missed something out or you not sure about something, let us know.

If your looking for just a good Meguiars Wax I suggest NXT 2.0. Wait 24 hours after your apply NXT and you can top it with Yellow Wax.

If you're happy with the results, that's all that matters, but I hope you did prep the surface first.
