  • Check your measurements!

I have been using a bucket that has the measurements marked on the side. It occurred to me last week to verify the measurements. What I discovered is that the gallon marks were way off--each gallon in fact equals approximately 3/4 of a gallon. This means that for the past year I have in fact been using too much car shampoo. No wonder I haven't been getting the kind of durability from my waxes that everyone else has been getting.

Its a good thing you realized it. What shampoo do you usually use? some car wash soaps are stronger than others.

You never cease to amaze me Al, always so thorough. What would we do without you?

I've always used Soft gel(can't find it now,so I just opened anNXT today).

I've always just filled the bucket with a blob of soap and pressurize the warm water into the bucket, and just judge it by the weight.I've never thought about measuring.(right or wrong?)

I have been using Carnauba dc3 and it lasts for ages, and my car is never garaged.Last time I waxed it was over 3 months ago and it still sheets off like it was done yesterday.

Which shampoo do you normally use?
