  • Maybe get a head start?

Would there be any real harm if I were to wash my car tonight and start taping some edges so I could get started right after work tomorrow with claying it?
Yes, I have to drive it to work tomorrow.

I am going to spray it with Quik Detailer to start the clay anyway. I could just wipe the spot I am going to clay first? if I were to get sctraches doing it.. they would be coming off when I started buffing anwyay?

No, as long as it is one of the easy release tapes you should be ok. Maybe try to park in the shade.

Although that would sound logical to some people, you don't want to have that as a foundation for your work schedule.

Avoiding scratches in the first place is the name of the game.
