Blue Supreme Shine towels

I tried searching but no luck so here goes:

About a week I ago i went to Bass Pro Shop to pick up some Supreme Shine towels for my Dad's birthday gift. Normally I can find the yellow supreme shine towels there, but this time I found some blue ones with a silk edging. I figured ok its meguiars and its supreme shine sure its for the marine line so maybe its just coloring difference. Well, when i used them to wipe off some wax residue from his truck with these, they felt completely different than the yellow ones...I wasn't to thrilled about them they didnt "absorb" the residue like the yellow ones and kinda smeared it around a bit.

my question is...Am I crazy in thinking they are COMPLETELY different or is there some truth?

The Marine Microfiber Towels you are referring to are the same material as our original Gold Glass Microfiber Towel that had the satin edging. The only difference is they (the blue ones) are 30% larger.

BTW - These blue Marine Microfiber Towels (MX2015) have been discontinued, so you should grab them up while you can if you like them...

Our new edgeless Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel you find in automotive is our current towel, but the performance should be very similar...

I have never seen these. I have 1 supreme shine, and love the ultimate wipes.
