For those of you who have used ONR professionally, do you find it to be sufficient for cleaning vehicles prior to a full detail or paint correction? Or is it better suited for maintenance washes between traditional car washes or because circumstance necessitates it's use? If you have a choice between a traditional 2 bucket wash or ONR before performing a full paint correction, which do you prefer?

Re: ONR sufficient before a full detail?
Tough call....
Probably depends on the environment which will impact the amount of "dirt" & "grime" on a vehicle.
It is definitely a good idea / product when it is appropriate, but if you are working on a car that is really dirty, the pressure of a hose and the 2 bucket method may be the best way to go...Mike Pennington

I have used ONR a few times and since there are no water restrictions here and I have a foam gun it just doesn't get used much except for spot cleanings or minor things of that nature.

I really improved my technique for washing and will not be going back to a hose again. ONR works great for me as it is easy to use, no unnecessary time spent unrolling and then rolling up a hose, no chance of a hose scuff on the finish, saving water and I am faster mostly due to the time spent with the hose hassle issue. Maybe 10 minutes or so faster.
When going to a clients I have less stuff to carry is a plus also. The way a person treats their car is a direct reflection of how they treat themselves

Re: ONR sufficient before a full detail?
I use a dedicated soft bristle, long handled Meguiar's brush and AFTER I have done the whole body I dip the brush in the remaining solution in the bucket and scrub the wheel wells.
No need to hand dry- air drying is fine. After it dries, I personally hit the wheel wells with a few sprays of Hyper Dressing and walk away. If it is rainy season, I replace the Hyper Dressing for All-Season Dressing for longevity.

Re: ONR sufficient before a full detail?
Thanks for clearing that up Mark, a bottle of ONR is now firmly on my shopping list..... and so is a "rainy season"! Around here all we seem to get is 10 months of winter and a couple months of poor sledding.Oh well..... if we're lucky, summer will fall on a weekend for a change, although with my luck, I'll decide to sleep in and miss it!
Regards
Christian
