wool bonnets/pads??

will a wool bonnet leave swirl marks ?
i have been trying many different meguiars products by hand and with an orbital buffer using only foam and microfiber pads and basically nothing seems to have any effect at all on my paint ..
i have a 93 stang vibrant red with clear coat ..
id like to move up to a wool pad but im scared if it leaves swirl marks none of these products will be able to take them out ..
any ideas or suggestions ? thanks ...

it would depend which type of wool pad (twisted or non twisted) + product you using...

An orbital buffer just isnt strong enough to remove swirls and scratches out of your car's finish. All they are really good for are spreading waxes.

I would invest in a G110 Dual Action Polisher kit from ADS.
