NXT V2 paste giving attitude

Recently I've tried to used the NXTV2 paste and it just doesn't want to spread thin...it flashes way too fast, but if I put any more on the pad it goes on way too thick...it's even "twitchy" with the PC, I have to put on much more than I think I should and it thins out to the point of not being visible while being applied.

Any hints, suggestions or similar experiences?

I just use the liquid, usually I dont have time to play with paste.

I would just try to go as thin as possible even if you cant see it.

Just us a thiner coat, do small sections at a time and wipe right after.

If you are using the liquid, once you apply it to the pad, do you apply it to the paint using the "kiss" method.

By that I mean, in the area you going to apply the product, tap the product in the arae in 3/4 places. This helps in spreading out the product. This gives you a even application.

It has been a while!!!

It sounds like one of a few things is happening:

1. The surface temperature is too high causing the NXT to flash too soon
2. Your pad is saturated with dried product and needs to be cleaned..
3. There is some type of contamination on the paint causing it to become sticky thereby making the application difficult.
4. The humidity is extremely high
5. There is also a possibility that there is a problem with the product itself. When I was first testing the new Paste Wax 2.0 before it was available to the general public, I too had trouble with a couple of cans. If the other suggestions do not help, please contact customer service.

What I suggest doing is cleaning the surface first with clay and/or a paint cleaner. You could use M09 as a light cleaner, or SwirlX etc. Then moisten the foam applicator with the NXT Paste Wax 2.0 by swirling it in the can. Apply to the entire vehicle. Then allow the product to set up before wiping it off. Perform the swipe test, and then remove.

See if that helps and then report back!

I have same issues with Nxt paste v-1, I'm trying to use it up before buying new v-2.0. Paint on both vehicles is smooth and clean but it refuses to go on-either way too heavy or if almost see thru it does not give smooth application. Have not tried with an orbital. I use the Nxt booster wax and it goes on beautifully and comes off great. I use my gold class wax most of the time and every other time use the past nxt just to use it up. By the way, no problems with any waxes in my arsenal regardless of manufacturer as far as application or removal, so I think it is related to the Nxt original paste. Performance issues aside it does make the cars SHINE, so I don't think it is a bad can.

#3, not likely, I just did the whole car with SwirlX less than a month ago and the entire wash, clay etc less than two months ago
#4 possible, it's been nasty here recently
#5 it seems the same ??

BTW, if I were to 'swirl it in the can' it would go on so thick it's not even funny, as is, I barely 'dampen' an inch or so of the sponge applicator.
