  • Any pro-line product similar to High Endurance Tire Shine

    Hello all!

I found some High Endurance gel tire shine a long while back and use it and LOVE IT.

I'm getting low and my local places carry it randomly. This brings me to my question, is there anything in the pro line that would replace this? It would need to have the following traits:

    -- Longevity
    -- Little to no sling

Longevity is the bit one for me. I love the fact that this lasts weeks (even through light rain).

I've been reading about the Hyper Detailer and I think this would be a good replacement for what I'm using in the wheel wells (tire shine aerosol spray). Any comments to that regard?

    Thanks!

FWIW, I only ask cause I had always used the Quick Detailer then I found the professional line "last touch" that could be diluted (I use it constantly) and I love it.

In the pro line I would suggest Hyper Dressing. I use it and love it. It can also be diluted to get the shine you want. As far as sling goes. Let it sit on your tires, and then wipe off with a towel. Also make sure if your tires have raised letters or ridges be sure there are no puddles of product sitting there. At times I will even use an old paintbrush to get the "puddles" out of these spots.

      Hope that helps

I'm with Andy, i'm a big fan of HyperDressing. It lasts at least a week(in good weather), can easily be washed off for re-application and it's dilutable. I'm in Ca though so bad weather doesn't really affect the longevity of dressings. For what you're asking, you may want to consider All Season Dressing.

Yeah, All Season Dresssing works well too.

Hmmmm, thanks for the replies guys. Now I have no choice but to order both.

            Ha ha ha ha...

I really think Hyper Dressing is going to be my best solution for the wheel wells (aside from getting new suspension to lower the car so you can't see the wheel wells) and it sounds like the AS dressing would provide the longevity I'm looking for.

I'll do some more research. Thanks all!

Hyper-Dressing is water-based so if you want a bulk dressing that will hold up in inclement weather then you'll want All Season Dressing which is a solvent based dressing.

As for sling? Keep a few towels in the garage that are clean but not the kind of towel you would touch car paint with and wipe off any excess dressing before driving.

                Excellent!

The lazy side of me wants to just ask "So what's the benefit of water-based over solvent based?" But the experienced forum member side of me knows that the answer lies in the search utility.

I really just need an excuse to order both of them, that's all I'm looking for!

                I currently use the following:

                Tires: Meguiars High Endurance gel
Wheel Wells: Any random aerosol tire-shine spray that is on sale
Engine bay: (I've only done this once) 303 aerospace protectant.

I am satisfied with my tires but I may try to replace what I use on the wheel wells and under the hood. I'm thinking that ASD would be great for my tires and the Hyper dressing may be best for the wheel wells as well as the plastics/rubber under the hood.

                Thoughts?
